Thilo Remini (b. 1987) is a photographer, multimedia journalist & writer based in Zurich, Switzerland. Prior to Zurich, he was based in Amman, Jordan.
Since 2013 he is working freelance for media outlets and NGOs, predominantly in countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine and Israel. Additionally he travels extensively. He lived in Germany, Ireland, Austria, Italy and most recently in Jordan. Occasional collaborations with the theatre & the arts.
He studied International Development at the University of Vienna & graduated at "die Graphische" (Higher Federal Institution for Graphic Education and Research, Vienna) with a focus on documentary photography and photojournalism. He wrote his thesis on the emergence of photojournalism during the Spanish Civil War.
Thilo is fluent in German, English and speaks conversational Italian, as well as little Arabic and French.
